Familiarizing Children how to Read Books

A quote!

“Without books, God is silent, justice dormant, natural science at a stand, philosophy lame, letters dumb, and all things involved in darkness.” - Thomas Bartholin, 1672

It's an amazing quote, right?
In the 16th century Thomas Bartholin, a doctor, mathematician and theologian from Denmark   ascertain the significance of books in our life. The purpose of his message is that without books or the revelation of God cannot be conveyed to the people, justice cannot be enforced, science and technology  would be stagnated, literature would not be evolved, and all human activities would plagued by darkness. Of course, the book here is referred to the book which we read, study and analyze.

However, one thing that concerns us today is the lack of interest in reading and writing among adolescents (students). The teenager is currently lives in an era of globalization. They are the digital generation. Most of their time is spent with the "grasping" and "play" their smartphones. Mobile phone with all its features and facilities provide them a "new world" that is digital world.  The "hustle and bustle" of the new world cause the books such like a foreign goods for them. Among the learners it seems close but as if very far away. Everyday they take them to the school but the smartphones have allure them not to read the books. We can see nowadays, even small children of 1-3 grade elementary school, proudly is carrying a large bag containing books, however, it seems remote because of their new book is open only when there is a command from their teacher to read.

When there is a task from the teacher to open the book, what their respond is, huh BT ah ...! BT is a vocabulary which is very common among the teenagers in my country. It is said that the word is an acronym Totally Bored or Bored Total) which is used as an expression of boredom. So, reading a book for children is a tedious activity. So, how our children would be smart if reading has become a scourge for them?

HABITUATION

For children, we need to familiarize them a reading. We need to make it as a habitual life. As a teacher, or for parents, it is advisable to exhort the to gain much knowledge from the book. I remember a legend neurosurgeon doctor from USA, DR. Ben Salomon Carson whom I greatly admired after watching him on youtube and reading his book GIFTED HAND. It is a wonderful story in humanity. I remembered the book, especially his witness of devoting his life to read two books every week and gave the reading report to his mom. In his earlier elementary school, Carson was the foolhardiest student in the class and became an object mockery among them. It is very hard for him to be with them.
Until one day, as his mother was seeing many books in the room of a professor and ask the prof is he read all the books. The professor answer yes. Since that time she ordered the small child to read at least two books. In the second year, he become the smartest student in his class and now become a famous neurosurgeon in the world. What a testimony of the power of reading. You are great Ben Carson!

Growing with disabilities

Many health experts, who said that this disease will not make sufferers survive for a long time. There are not many who survive after birth. This is due to the condition of their skin is very vulnerable to infection. However, it is different to Mui Thomas who survive until now. Now she was 22 years old and she is the fourth oldest person in the world who survive with this disease.

Growing up with a physical disorder is certainly not easy. Mui often face insults from people who think she is strange, whether her friends at school or from cyberbullying.

Despite her physical appearance is different from the people in general, Mui did not necessarily lose confidence and hope. Instead, he has the confidence to pursue his dream. Mui proves that physical disorder is not an obstacle to pursue a dream."Do not let anything stop you. Do not let your disability stop you. Do not let the physical appearance stop you, "Mui said confidently.

Together with her parents, Mui also started to became a speaker of his experiences with physical abnormalities and cyberbullying in schools in Hong Kong. His father also wrote an article in a family journal entitled The Girl Behind The Face.

In her activities Mui had to bring three to four bottle of cream to rub into her whole body, so that the skin would not dry. While in the bath, he could spend about two hours every times having a shower and doing twice a day.

S2 graduates like What Practice in the Digital Age?

Suppose you are currently waiting to interview as one of the phases entering the target company. Read the position of the targeted qualification, one main requirement is the need to hold a master degree.
Relieved to see it, because the S-2 diploma in hand. It was, was not in vain struggle you complete a thesis on time.
However, wait first, do not immediately feel satisfied. Remember, you are not the only graduate of S-2 that applying the position.
Yes, there are dozens or even hundreds of other applicants S-2 are also vying for the seat that you seek. So, what should you have in order superior to the other competitors?
"The company is always associated with many parties, such as stakeholders, consumers, government, suppliers, and so on. Here, they (the graduates of S-2) to be able to integrate the knowledge of her," said Head of the Graduate Program in Information Systems Management Binus , Harisno, Friday (01/22/2015) at Campus Anggrek, Jakarta.
According Harisno, the interests of the various parties that, when fused, can be a force to win business competition and become your weapons.
"They must be able to analyze the needs of human resources, technology, as well as any information that is required to win business," he said.
Indeed, continued Harisno, now increasingly digital world so that the flow of information is no longer bounded distance and time. The use of technology and information was no longer an option, but "obligatory".
When designing business, Harisno pointed out, the approach used is not enough just based on comparative advantage. Comparative advantage is obtained, if the company is able to produce more goods or services at a cheaper cost.
"But it must start using competitive advantage by incorporating technology in the design of information systems in business," said Harisno.
The competitive advantage is obtained, if the company is able to manage its resources until they have a higher performance than any other company. He believes this can be achieved by applying the information system in the company.
"So, do not be complacent. The trend of the technology continues to evolve, we must know the position where we are obliged to innovate again. What kind of technology should be updated or implemented a, is called continuous improvement," he said.
Mindset and communication
Significant differences in learning at the level of the S-2, compared to the S-1, is geared for students to think holistically. In class they are directed to think, analyze, and synthesize an integral problem.
"Do not think about that problem solved only from one point of view," said Head of the Graduate Program Information Tehnology Binus, Suharjito, Friday (01/22/2015).
Thinking holistically means, further Suharjito, see and think about the problem from different angles. S-2 students are taught to solve the problem using a variety of methods.
"From then tested the method which is most efficient. Thinking holistically means thinking systemically or whole, do not think of one particular sector," continued Suharjito.
According to him, a way of thinking that the model can make students more open mind and a flexible viewing opportunities solutions to problems.
"If flexible, when there is a problem that they are not easily frustrated," he said.
Moreover, in order to win the competition in the digital age, communication skills in English also not be underestimated. Most likely, the graduates of the S-2 will work in an international environment, even if they work in the country.
"Because after communication between the manager that's definitely in English, especially now the CEO of a lot of people outside," said Head of Industrial Engineering Graduate Program BINUS, Taufik.
Often he finds, a graduate of S-2 difficulties and look less confident when presenting their brilliant ideas. Therefore, sharpen English language skills become mandatory Taufik agenda while teaching.
"The stranger it seems very confident when speaking English, unlike us (Indonesia). In fact, if from the same scientific skills," he said.
For those who intend to improve themselves through education S-2, can not think of origin have a diploma is enough. Choice of majors, in addition to supporting the career front, it should also give you the added value during the learning process.
Binus Graduate Program in itself, there are three S-2 program that you can consider, namely Master of Information Technology (MTI), Master of Information Systems (MMSI), and Masters in Industrial Engineering (MIE). Well, ready to face the competition of the digital age?

Revealed Reasons entire surface of the Earth Ever Covered with Snow

Genesis snowball earth or when the entire surface of the Earth covered with snow never occurred about 750 million years ago. The phenomenon was most likely triggered by extensive volcanic activity beneath sea level.

As stated in a report on the study published in the journal Nature Geoscience this week. It also helps to explain the beginning of animal life on Earth millions of years after the snowball earth period.

"Snowball earth is of extreme events and our planet is almost no survivors of that event," said Professor Eelco Rohling of the Australian National University, who wrote the study report.

"Our hypothesis explains several aspects of snowball earth through a single mechanism," he said.

During this time of snowball earth hypothesis states, almost the entire surface of the Earth is covered by snow at least once in the history of this planet, but the cause is not known for sure.

One theory is widely referenced for explaining that the layer of snow due to start the flow of water from the river to the ocean caused by the rupture of a large continent called Rodinia.

The water flow is changing the chemical makeup of the oceans, causing reduced levels of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere.

Because the thick layer of ice, then the sunlight reflected back, causing the Earth actually gets colder.

"In effect, the Earth entered a snowball situation where the ocean begins to freeze," explained Professor Rohling citing the theory.

This theory also explains that the Earth is in a situation like this for millions of years.

"However, according to the theory of volcanic activity on land and then release a lot of CO2 into the atmosphere and put an end to a period of snowball earth," said Professor Rohling.

Rohling and his team conduct various simulations which show that the breakup of the giant continent Rodinia it has unleashed volcanic chemicals that pollute the oceans and scrape CO2 from the atmosphere.

According to the theory developed by Rohling, at the beginning of the breakup of Rodinia continent, there was volcanic activity under the sea is very extensive and produce volcanic rocks called hyaloclastite with different chemical content.

"So far, the fundamental question is how can the very large continent sends so many minerals into the oceans when the land was still covered in ice," he said.

"Apparently, that's what did it hyaloclastite rocks - turning the oceans into a very rich with chemical content in the form of calcium, magnesium, silicon, and phoshorus," he said.

"At the moment the Earth re-warmed, the penetration of sunlight in the ocean allows berfotosintesa algal substances are very important in the development of animal life," said Professor Rohling. (Stuart Gary)

Beaten child Often, what long-term effects?

Punish the child by hitting more done by parents ancient times.

But not denied, the method of punishment is still widely applied by parents in the modern era like now.

Actually, the blow to be part of the punishment on the child's parents, until now still reaping debate among teachers, psychologists, and parents.

According to a report from the Washington Post, now the fewer the number of parents in the United States which apply the method of punishment spank (hit without injury) in children.

This condition also be contrasted with reports that the majority of parents in the US still supports the method of punishment spank.

National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNA) in 2011 had raised the issue of punishing method by hitting him like that.

"Physical punishment has an important risk factor, in which children can develop a pattern of impulsive and anti-social behavior. Children are more likely to experience physical punishment are more likely to engage in violent behavior in adulthood," said NAPNA.

Similar to NAPNA, in 2012, the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, concluded that physical punishment can change a child's behavior in a short time, increase the aggressiveness of the child, and can demoralize behavior.

In conclusion, the method of punishing children by hitting may indeed help parents in the short term. However, it is actually the way it can be dangerous for children themselves to long-term effects.

Because the children learn, solve problems when there are other alternative methods ie with physical punishment.

"M Rex", This is the Sea Crocodile Greatest of All Time

Giant crocodile ever inhabited the Earth's oceans. Scientists have just found the trail through the discovery of fossils in the Tunisian desert.

Scientists predict a long, ancient crocodile named Machimosaurus rex reached 9.6 meters. With its size, the crocodile became the largest marine crocodiles in his day.

Frederico Fanti of the University of Bologna who led the research found the fossil skull and other bones expedition supported through the National Geographic Society.

The fossils of the giant it was fragmented. However, scientists are pretty sure that the size of the giant crocodile was indeed ancient, though not as big as crocodiles that live in inland waters in more modern times.

Crocodile inland waters is the largest ever Sarcosuchus imperator, life 1,100 million years ago, and has a length of 12 meters.

Fanti said, "Machimosaurus rex teeth fat, short and round, large skull made have the ability to bite firmly."

The nature of the monster, Fanti assume M rex hunt anything, not targeting particular types of prey.

For the scientist, the interesting side of this ancient marine crocodiles discovery rather than on its size. Ancient marine crocodiles that an indication of the presence or absence of a mass extinction at the end of the Jurassic period, 145 million years ago.

M rex fossil findings in younger rock layers indicate that if indeed there is extinction 145 million years ago, it did not overwrite all the species on earth. M rex is one that has survived.

Although successful "survivors" of mass extinctions, M rex unsuccessful triumphant return as the Jurassic period. Finally, the type that was extinct.

Stephen Brusatte, a palaeontologist at the University of Edinburgh, who was not involved in the study, said, "This is an exciting discovery of the fossil wealth of the world has not been explored very well."

What's Behind the free WhatsApp?

Beginning in 2014, the company WhatsApp instant messaging service provider acquired by Facebook with a fantastic value: 19 billion dollars or about Rp 223 trillion.

In addition to making the owners and employees flooded money -CEO WhatsApp, Jan Koum, supposedly got a "quota" of 6.8 billion US- when many are questioning the motives Facebook annexed WhatsApp.

The social networking giant is suspected of wanting to master database WhatsApp users at the time of the acquisition announcement has reached hundreds of millions.

WhatsApp user base is like a treasure chest for Facebook, companies are largely derived from advertising revenues.

Imagine the money that is going into the Facebook account that the company could, for example, channel promotion of clients to each phone number that the identity of the users WhatsApp.

After all, the concern was immediately rebuffed by the WhatsApp.

Through an official statement, Jan Koum stated WhatsApp will remain keukeuh with the old business model, which levy an annual fee of 1 US dollar after the customer through the life of a free for a year.

"There will not be any changes for our users," said Koum when it is in the company's official blog.

"WhatsApp will continue to operate independently. You will still be able to use it for a fee, "he added. Then, most importantly, "you can be sure that there will be no annoying ads."

For almost two years after the acquisition of Facebook, WhatsApp uphold his promise and deliver a consistent experience and "clean" for the user.

There was no advertising, games, stickers, sales channels, or all sorts of other things that commonly bothering users similar services outside WhatsApp.

Beyond the additional features such as voice calls and access from the desktop, instant messaging services that started its life as a status update is arguably faithful to the old form.

Even though the revenue lines of WhatsApp that used to only come from annual fees.

But now there has been a change. On January 18, 2016, WhatsApp announced will revoke usage fee of US $ 1 per year. That is, the service is completely free.

The policy has come into effect shortly thereafter, on January 20, 2016, when the user notices that greeted WhatsApp instant messaging application that can be used free of charge "for life".

Money from where?

By cutting annual fee, WhatsApp losing the only source of income. Then from where these companies will get the money?

Again, Koum dismissed concerns that it would do something that could potentially interfere with the user's convenience.

"People may ask how we run WhatsApp without charging subscriptions, or worry that this announcement will mark the presence of third-party ads," Koum wrote in a blog post.

"The answer is there will be no advertising."

WhatsApp tech2ipo.com Founder and CEO, Jan Koum
Instead of lost revenue, WhatsApp states would explore the likelihood of offering a number of paid services for corporate users.

This service will be used by business entities to communicate with their customers without having to pay extra costs.

Koum exemplifies verfifikasi communication in the process of transaction between the consumer and the bank, then it could be delayed notification from the airline to the passengers.

"All messages are now delivered through other channels, namely through telephone and SMS. We wanted to test a variety of new tools to make this easier to do through WhatsApp, "said Koum. It remains unclear what it will be business services in question.

Why WhatsApp change the business model that had worked on the corporate segment targeting consumers so?

Company founded in 2009 is apparently feels that withdrawal of the subscription fee as being operated for years less reliable to fill the company's cash.

The reason, according to Koum, is the amount of WhatsApp users who do not have a credit or debit card to pay a subscription fee.

As a result, WhatsApp user base has now reached the range of 990 million, has doubled since the acquisition by Facebook- could not be utilized optimally. Until then it was decided to remove the charge altogether.

When speaking at the Digital Life Design Conference in Munich, Germany, earlier this week, Koum explained that WhatsApp try to apply the business model of "commercial-participation", a form of evolution model "freemium" in which only certain users are subject to a service fee.

In this case, it is the corporate users who are willing to pay more for premium features or a larger volume.

Facebook's own party as the owner WhatsApp does not implement the "deadline" for certain chat services are to begin large revenue gain.

Thus, according to Koum, WhatsApp users can focus on boosting growth without fear of losing customers who can not pay, while at the same time try their luck in the new realm.

The worst security

Step WhatsApp entered the corporate segment caused little concern about the security of sensitive information that is being circulated in this field. Moreover, WhatsApp arguably not have qualified reputation in the field of data security.

On the contrary, the company is often affected by security issues.

For example, recently, in September 2015, came the news that the web version of WhatsApp client (desktop) has a dangerous gap that could be exploited to install malware on the user's computer.

Earlier, around the middle of last year, WhatsApp crowned the worst technology company in terms of safeguards user privacy by The Electronic Fountier Foundation (EFF).

WhatsApp is considered not to apply the best practices in the technology industry safety standards. WhatsApp succession is seen as less transparent in addressing issues related to privacy, for example, the elimination of certain content that is encouraged by the government and policies related to user data storage.

The Electronic Fountier Foundation The Electronic Fountier Foundation gives the ranking is bad for the security aspects of user data in WhatsApp

Problem is, WhatsApp states that every message sent through its service is protected by encryption. WhatsApp users also do not store messages on the server hers, with the exception of unsent messages will be stored on servers with a maximum time of 30 days before being deleted.

But the steps above do not guarantee one hundred percent that the user information stored and sent via WhatsApp would not spy by the other party.

EFF reports underscore the absence of policies that regulate the procedure of data submission to authorities such as the government of a country in WhatsApp policy. WhatsApp user data, for example, could be asked without requiring a court order. The user was not notified when there is a request data from a particular party.

Moreover, the parent company of WhatsApp, Facebook, is known to have a history comply with user data requests by the authorities.

Data security affairs alone is like a sword of two gems. The one hand, the authority of a country in need of information to keep track of things like security related terrorist networks are often actively communicate in social media, behind the shield of encryption and privacy protection.

On the other hand, WhatsApp security must protect sensitive information stored and circulated through the service, which could be broken and used for other purposes by certain parties, such as hackers.

WhatsApp as the largest instant messaging service providers must often be used to exchange critical information by nearly a billion users.

Before the banking and airline joined in though, WhatsApp chat is commonly used by government administrators key figures, including possibly in Indonesia.

WhatsApp user base following their data are very large numbers would probably be a perennial magnet that will always invite fears are exploited, whether by a hacker, authority, or advertisers.

Based Education Science That Need

Educational institutions have an important role in shaping the character of the nation that controls the generation of science and technology. But the reality of values is not yet fully realized character.

In order to obtain the graduates who are intelligent, creative, productive and responsible it is necessary for the development of education in the field of curriculum, one example is given charge of the science curriculum. More recently, the government reopened the science-based school programs, as a means to establish the characteristics of learners.Science-based school is a school that packed the atmosphere of science in every activity and learning activities in schools, even if necessary the state of the environment around the school is also supported by the infrastructure associated with science and infrastructure nuanced science.

His background is the idea that the middle of an increasingly global world, the mastery of science and technology for a nation will determine the position of the nation among other nations. We see that education in our country has not had a strong concept in the mastery of science and technology. The existence of the factors why the mastery of science and technology is important is because it is closely linked to the sustainability of the people (associated with wise action on global issues such as global warming, genetic engineering).

Another factor is the demands of the labor force in the economic environment that is based on science and technology. We believe that science and technology is very prominent in shaping its development and determine the pattern of human life in the present and the future ahead. Education based on science that is linked with real life will be able to equip learners with life skills and life (life skills) that combines integrative potential of generic and specific in order to solve and overcome the problems of their lives as individuals and also the nation in general. There are some problems that we face so as to make us think that the science-based education is necessary, one of them is that although Indonesian students continuously gained the victory in various science Olympics, but in the aggregate quality of education in Indonesia suffered a serious setback.

It can be seen from various statistics show that Indonesia is still ranked lower compared to other countries such as Japan and Singapore. From the international comparison, the quality of education are also less encouraging. Study Blazely et al, (1997) reported that learning in schools tend to be very theoretical and not related to the environment in which the child resides.

As a result, learners are not able to apply what is learned in school to solve life problems encountered in daily life. Besides this, there are severe challenges we face in the future. On the domestic economic crisis caused the unemployment rate continues to increase, which is estimated to have reached 40 million. Given the economic crisis seems to have not immediately recovered, the unemployment rate also was not immediately able to go down, so that education should play an active role to help tackle unemployment.

From the field of education alone, it is known there are 34.4% of junior high school graduates do not go on to high school. They clearly has the potential to increase the number of unemployment that has been so great. This means, to think about how the education they receive in school can play a role transforming them into productive human.

Need to be prepared, the provision of what needed to be given to students so that they can enter the workforce and become part of nation building. AFTA (Asean Free Trade Area), AFLA (Asean Free Labour Area) and MEA (Asian Economic Community) has made labor more open competition. Consequently our workforce must be able to compete, so that the economic crisis is not getting worse. Indonesian nation must be prepared through education based on science and technology in order to compete with their counterparts from other countries.Although often heralded that education should be balanced between the mastery of science and technology and IMTAK but an understanding of science and technology-based education itself is never clearly defined so that it can be used as a guide for implementation in schools. School-based science is necessary, because the curriculum in use today is the curriculum in 2013.

Where the curriculum in 2013, is a curriculum designed so that learners are actively constructing concepts, laws or principles through the approach of scientific intended to provide insight to learners in recognizing, understanding the various materials using a scientific approach, that information can come from anywhere, anytime Just, do not rely on the information in the direction of the teacher.

Therefore, the condition of school-based learning in science is expected to also encourage the students to find out from various sources through observation in science-based school environment.

Let's Raise Love Homeland

In order to ensure the upholding of the Republic of Indonesia and the survival of the nation, the human resources became a central point which needs to be nurtured and developed as a potential nation that is able to carry out development and overcome all forms of threats, challenges, obstacles and interference (ATHG) derived from inside and outside the country.
With a lack of awareness of defending the country, we should be able to have the appropriate attitudes and behaviors that struggle, patriotism and sacrifice for the homeland. In connection with the successor to the nation's youth should be the attitude of patriotism instilled early on so that their love for the nation and the State more trust and deeper.
Associated with the increase patriotism, especially in growing love of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) as many as 427 students of SMAN I Purwodadi training to defend the state in Rindam IV / Diponegoro in Magelang. Good step performed by SMAN I Purwodadi should imitate and can be an example for other schools.
Training through character building and defending the country in the younger generation is appropriate because it will be the next leadership baton holder. Therefore, before receiving the baton, the young generation needs to be prepared very seriously.
Let's raise patriotism so that when we face the challenges ahead are growing heavy and diverse as the citizens are used to perform properly then if there konprontasi or intervention of the state, we will be sensitive to react even to lift our weapons will dare because the spirit of defending the country in us already trained and familiar. For that future generations should have a warrior spirit, unyielding, resilient and disciplined for the betterment of the nation.

"Go Digital", Movement Reduce Paper in the framework of budget savings Trillions of Rupiah

One difference in work culture, communication and distribution of information in the 20th century and the 21st century is in the use of paper. The 21st century is now known as the digital era marked by the penetration of Internet access to all parts and corners of the world or the village.

With all the things that are internet information could be delivered quickly and cheaply. If in the 20th century people like to send a letter that develops among teens is called 'pen pal', but in the 21st century pen pals almost never heard from again or done primarily by teenagers now.

The times have been changed, with the Internet, now the communication can be done easily and quickly, as long as there is a pulse or packet data. The latest data says that nearly 100 million people in Indonesia have had internet access and of course this figure will continue to increase along with the development and function of time due to a huge benefit for the community.

Indirectly have internet presence of functions eliminate paper. This could be viewed positively as a form of savings and in an effort to support and realize the movement of 'Go Green' for a better environment that is often voiced by environmental activists.

Government Not to Maximize Digitization / Internet Government is synonymous with the rules, regulations became the basis for government officials or civil servants to act to do something or not do something. Associated with digitizing / internet, when compared with the private sector is seen that the government step behind.

We can see how the private sector to develop applications that benefit the general public, the best example is the booming online taxi booking application, such as gojek, grabike and so on. Although the then government tried to develop applications online bajaj but in its development as swallowed by the earth.

I wonder what happened. The use of technology is supposed to be one mental revolution program, mainly related to the work culture revolution. I noticed in the central agencies, even in Kemenristekdikti, where I now work, the use of paper is still very high, there is no culture of digitization. If at the center of it like this, you can imagine in what kind of areas. Whereas the use of paper is more expensive than digitizing, in this case frugality is one indicator of a mental revolution.

But unfortunately a mental revolution led by the Minister Puan Maharani more ceremonial or symbolic-symbolic alone without a clear road map. For example, towards the end of 2015, advertising mental revolution rose sharply in both the electronic and print media, the contents of a call for change.

But how does that change? What kind of changes? How is the program? Not explained, the end of commercials that spend billions were ineffective and only wasteful alone. Also, until the end of 2015 than it revolusimental.go.id site prepared to describe the mental revolution program still can not be accessed. Though the site is very important as a comprehensive source of information in explaining mental revolution program.

But unfortunately it seems awareness to a digital system is not realized so that the site mental revolution that could make a scene because it uses up to 200 million fund was not developed with the serious and not at all useful it will be. Half-hearted digitizing system also occur in the State Civil Service Agency (BKN). In 2015, BKN has a big event data collection PNS electronically or better known as e-puns.

I never went to BKN building this center, there filled with papers everywhere. With attention to the condition it does look e-PUPNS been urged to do by BKN, otherwise it BKN will have problems in filing. But it turned out later BOne difference in work culture, communication and distribution of information in the 20th century and the 21st century is in the use of paper.

But it turned out later BKN ask civil servants to send data in the form of paper documents back, you can imagine there are about 4.6 million civil servants who will send the file to BKN, if one person there are 20 pieces only then this would be a huge waste, not to mention every civil servant must make duplicate copies to be stored as records in HR / staffing and TU.

Waste in paper use in e-PUPNS is very large, not to mention the ink and the cost of shipping. I estimate that, hundreds of billions or even trillions of rupiah has been spent on the celebration of this e-puns. If only BKN do digitizing file, the savings can certainly be done, at least half of that now. Therefore, the government should encourage the digitization system through a regulation, this may be initiated by Kemenristekdikti, Communication and Information Technology and the State Administrative Institution (LAN).

In today's digital era, it is important to have patterns of work and thought that is based technologies. If not then we will be left behind by nations continue to develop the technology. Therefore, the government as a locomotive of development should not lag or stuttering even such technology that is still visible today. Therefore, the use of high paper should be terminated immediately, in addition to already outdated, too inefficient anymore. Technically, digitization within the government is feasible.

Now, most government agencies already have a computer and even an internet connection, virtually all employees also have an e-mail. Which should be encouraged then is to have a website. But the main thing just now is a computer, internet and e-mail. If these three things are already there and then added again scanners work culture of the 20th century could be abandoned.

Problems encountered in the field is still a lot of civil servants especially gaptek already approaching retirement age, but this is not a big problem because there must be civil servants-young civil servants who have technological literacy. Changes must be made. Digitalization is a change towards the better, this is in line with the content of the ads mental revolution.
